German credit card crisis cuts off millions of shoppers

More than 25 million German bank cards have been hit by a software bug that cropped up on New Year’s Day, keeping the cardholders from being able to withdraw money from cash machines or make payments. The problem stems from faulty software unable to recognise the year 2010, according to bank associations who have warned the feared Y2K computer bug has cropped up 10 years later than expected.Duration: 00:59
